Catrix Adenosine, Nicotinamide, Cytochrome C and Sodium Succinate Presentation Catrix Sterile Eye Drops: Each ml contains Adenosine BP 2 mg, Nicotinamide BP 10 mg, Cytochrome C Ph. Grade 0.5 mg and Sodium Succinate Ph. Grade 0.6 mg. Description Catrix is a sterile eye drops containing Adenosine, Nicotinamide, Cytochrome C and Sodium Succinate. Cytochrome C helps in the oxidative phosphorylation for synthesizing ATP from ADP. Sodium Succinate (intermediate substance) promotes the production of ATP. Adenosine plays essential role in producing energy required for the vital function of the lens. Nicotinamide is involved in the process of creating ATP. Indications and Uses Catrix eye drops is used for the treatment of lens opacification. Contraindications Catrix is contraindicated to patients with known hypersensitivity to any ingredient of this product. Dosage And Administration One drop into the affected eye twice daily. Precautions Only for topical ophthalmic use. Do not inject or swallow. In case of concomitant treatment with another ophthalmic solution, wait 15 minutes between each instillation. Side Effects Catrix may cause more or less discomfort in some patients like any other drug. If any discomfort occurs, it is recommended to consult doctor. Use in pregnancy & lactation In pregnancy and lactation, it is recommended to take advice from doctor before using Catrix eye drops. Drug Interaction No specific drug interaction has been demonstrated. Overdosage Generally it does not cause any toxicity even after accidental ingestion of the medicine due to low quantity of ingredients.
