Hydrocortisone Acetate 1%

Presentation
Intasone Cream : Each gram cream contains Hydrocortisone Acetate BP 10 mg.

Description
Intasone (Hydrocortisone) cream is primarily effective because of its anti-inflammatory, anti-pruritic and vasoconstrictive action. Hydrocortisone is the principal naturally occurring glucocorticoid in humans. In Pharmaceutical doses its main action is to reduce the response of the skin to injury (i.e. anti-inflammatory action). It also has antimitotic actions.
The anti-inflammatory activity of Hydrocortisone is thought to be mediated by the reduction in formation, release and action of the various vasoactive chemicals released during inflammation- kinins, histamine, lysosomal enzymes, prostaglandins.
